Mawkyrwat became a full- fledged Civil Sub- division of West Khasi Hills District on 26 June 1982. This year, 2007 is the twenty fifth year of the establishment of the Civil sub- division. The Sub- divisional administration feels that in this age of information and communication technology, it is imperative to have a website for the sub- division so that there is better information dissemination about the place. |
